Fiat X-1/9 Hood Scoop

Before I rigged up the grille-mounted cold-air induction setup, I tried using the side scoops from a Fiat X-1/9 (these so-called cars are far more plentiful in the junkyard than on the street, for obvious reasons) to blow cold air down through the hood.  I tried to rig up some dryer-hose plumbing to make the scoops force air into the air cleaner, but it never did work right.  Finally, I just gave up and put scoops in the grille.  Still, the X-1/9 scoops give the car real Redneck Appeal.
