When you’ve managed to take a LeMons win on laps with a car that sold for nearly 100 grand in the mid-1990s, you need to go the extra mile with your theme at the next race if you want to avoid massive BS laps. When Team Sgt. Schultz emailed LeMons HQ for a residual value on their S500, I suggested they re-decorate with an Iranian Revolution theme. Chief Perp Jay Lamm had an even better idea, however….
They had the burqas, as we can see in this photogaph of the drivers’ meeting.
They also had the Bahraini flag, made from red and white duct tape.
The car had a burqa as well, and it lasted more laps than anyone thought possible.
Strangely, the idea to do a Real Housewives of Bahrain theme happened before Bahrain became a hot news topic; we showed up to the Southern Discomfort race just when the popular rebellions in the Middle East started to get going. This made the team look as if they’d managed to whip up this fairly elaborate theme in about three days prior to the race.
When the RHoB got a black flag, we had to hit them with the Hosni Mubarek Penalty. More on that later.
