Snow
Year One parking lot, Tucker, Georgia
January, 1996
The horrors never cease for a Californy Boy spoiled by eternally good weather
back home. Snow would build up on the acre or two of horizontal surfaces
of the Impala, then the temperature would climb up to about 35º, melting
the snow enough to make it stick like epoxy once it refroze. Then,
residual engine heat would melt it enough to get into the latch mechanism,
requiring some serious tire-iron pounding to open the damn thing.
This photo was taken in the gloom of the Year
One employee parking lot after my 6:00 AM commute.
