Dog-Dish Hubcaps and Fat Tires
Alameda, California
January, 1999
The Pontiac Rally wheels, even though they look just like the wheels on
Hot-Wheels cars, had to go. I scoured the jukyards for weeks to find
four cop-style 15" x 8" steel rims, then I got a set of four Chevy van
hubcaps (just like the ones the car had when I first
bought it) which I painted flat black except for a primer inner circle.
A pair of no-name 275-60R15s went on. At the same time, I installed
a Powertrax locking differential. The combination of huge rubber,
locker, and plenty of weight over the back tires means this car launches
hard.
