Gauges
Alameda, California
March, 1999

Here's a shot of the mid-60s Buick speedometer and some of the surrounding
gauges. On the left is the Mallory tach. To the right of the
speedo, the water temp and oil pressure gauges are visible. The two
red lights are the turn signals and the other lights indicate high beams,
backup lights, no charge, etc. There are many more gauges on the
dash, including vacuum, voltmeter, transmission temperature, and clock.
Almost all the gauges are VDO or Autometer models. Check out the
Powerglide shift indicator; the shifter works fine with the TH350 transmission,
as long as you don't rely on the shift indicator to tell you what gear
you're in.
