When you cut-and-paste a Lancia Scorpion body onto a wrecked Toyota MR2 chassis, then show up to a race with the project only 60% done, you don’t expect the car to stay in one piece all weekend.
Yet, somehow, the ScorpR2 has held together! It isn’t quite exactly fast (something about horrible chassis flex causing bizarre handling characteristics), but it has been going around and around and around all weekend.
Then the Charnal House SHO-powered GEO, victim of a nasty suspension-bendin’ crash yesterday, racked up three black flags today and got a three-hour timeout… with two-and-a-half hours to go. Bummer, but that’s the rules!
